LdM and Treedom to determine CO2
LdM and Treedom to determine CO2 emission of Higher Education courses
A special project in collaboration with Treedom will determine the CO2 emissions of two LdM courses and the equivalent, compensatory number of trees to be planted on behalf of LdM
Treedom is an Italian company that helps people, companies and events to offset their CO2 emissions and promoting reforestation projects all over the world.
The two courses that will be analyzed during the project are Sustainable Design and Sustainable Architecture. After considering all C02 sources (utilities, the use of computers, air conditioning and heating, etc.), Treedom uses specific parameters to convert energy values into the equivalent, compensatory number of trees to plant. On behalf of LdM, Treedom will be responsible for planting these trees. Students may follow the operation of planting, and then the growth of the plants over time, thanks to dedicated websites.
