Italian Language Program

One of Italy’s most renowned Italian language institutions, LdM has been dedicated to teaching Italian as a foreign language since 1973. By studying Italian at LdM, students will improve in all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) all presented in context and emphasized by dramatization and role play. The small number of students in each class (max 12 students) and the learning environment shaped by LdM’s international student body helps to actively participate in the learning process through constant interaction in Italian.

Learning a new language is more than just learning grammar and vocabulary. To learn Italian, one must also understand its culture. At LdM students will discover new facts about Italy and its different regions, listen to many kinds of Italian music, watch Italian films, read and discuss Italian books and newspapers. From trips to the market, visits to Italian universities to meet Italian students, and other similar activities, they will be able to feel confident in their new language. As they discover more about Italy and interact with real Italians, their desire to speak Italian and understand Italy and its culture will grow.

Students who want to enroll to our Italian Language and Culture courses must be at least 18 years old.

LanguageCourse S.L. has awarded Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici with the 2017 EXCELLENCE AWARD, certifying an excellent overall service rating based on the evaluations of former students.
