Principles of Environmental Sciences gathers key concepts and leading issues for science students.
From management of water resources to sustainable energy, those issues matter a great deal, and the course is designed to develops critical thinking as well as scientific literacy. (Non-science majors may take an Environmental Studies course.) The high ethical and social value of the sciences is presented in this course and in others, including Italy’s Contribution to Modern Science, core course for STEM majors in Rome which highlights Italy’s major role from the Scientific Revolution through the present in terms of research and the public debate.
