STEM Program

The LdM Rome STEM Program offers STEM and related majors a unique educational opportunity: rigorous science courses taught in English in collaboration with Università Roma Tre, state-of-the art teaching and research laboratories.

The core of the LdM STEM program is a required course on Italy’s contributions to modern sciences. Through the examination of important scientists from the Renaissance to the present, students explore the development of scientific thought and its historical connections. In this way, the program provides an immersion in the long-standing scientific traditions Italy offers, broadening students’ knowledge of the field and allowing them to understand how scientific discoveries have influenced individuals and societies, contributed to historic and artistic developments and shaped our world.

Students can combine the core course with the study of Mathematics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, and Environmental Sciences, along with a selection of general education courses.
