Printmaking is a fascinating process practiced through the centuries by such artistic masters as Rembrandt, Goya, Picasso and Munch. Today, printmaking continues to evolve as a stimulating medium in the contemporary arts. At LdM students learn the unique importance of form, line and composition, as well as the historical, modern and contemporary approaches to printmaking and etching.
From wood panels to Plexiglas relief, calcographic presses to computer processing, emphasis in LdM courses is always placed on two-dimensional pictorial constructions, creative interpretation of the figure, still-life compositions, nature and geometric structures.
