Painting, Drawing and Mixed Media

The LdM Painting, Drawing and Mixed Media Department utilizes its unparalleled access to museums, festivals, and contemporary artists’ studios in the richest of environments, where creative genius has given rise to priceless artworks for centuries. The incredible masterpieces that students encounter will provide the inspiration needed to fuel individual creation and expression.

Courses will help stimulate and advance students’ artistic ability and perceptual awareness. Technical procedures and techniques are paired with exploring and expressing personal and professional creativity. Each course involves multiple stages, usually starting from the fundamentals and moving on to a more advanced approach to art making. At every level, lessons aim to challenge and bring out each student’s own natural expression.
