Liberal Arts and Social Sciences

Liberal arts study at LdM gives students the unique opportunity to enjoy direct learning, to experience Italy as “a classroom without walls.” Students can choose from a range of courses which combine formal, university-level learning with visits to galleries, palaces, gardens, churches and museums. In this way, students gain a deeper understanding of the social and cultural fabric of Italian life and are inspired to integrate newly inspired ideas with their existing knowledge and skills.

Recently LdM started a fruitful partnership with Fondazione Franco Zeffirelli – International Center for the Arts and Enternainment, located right in the heart of the historical city center of Florence. The Center, supported by the Maestro himself, aims to make the artistic and cultural heritage of a seventy-year career available to both the city of Florence, Zeffirelli’s birthplace, and internationally, to future generations.
