Fine Arts

In the Fine Arts Program at LdM Florence, students have the opportunity to discover their own creative genius by utilizing everything Florence has to offer:

– inspiration from the finest painters of the Renaissance

– unparalleled access to museums

– contemporary artists’ studios in the richest of art environments

Each individual course involves multiple stages, beginning with the fundamentals and moving into a more advanced approach of art making. At every level, lessons aim to challenge and bring out students’ own natural expression in order to stimulate a personal approach to art making.

Every year, students produce art in the form of sculptures, ceramics, mosaics, paintings, drawings, and printmaking, and showcase their work, which is judged by a committee of professional critics as part of the LdM’s initiative, Art Is In The Square.
