ITALIAN LANGUAGE LEARNING

At LdM, beginners to advanced students improve their four Italian language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - while studying and experiencing the rich history and culture of Florence and Italy. The Italian courses offered combine the study of Italian language, conversation, and culture in order to give students the linguistic tools they need to navigate the city and fully experience the local community.

Learning a new language is more than just learning grammar and vocabulary. To learn Italian, you must also understand Italy's culture. At LdM you will discover new facts about Italy and its different regions, listen to many kinds of Italian music, watch Italian films, read and discuss Italian books and newspapers.

Students also get the chance to experience Florence's art, history, culture and traditions through a range of weekend excursions, community outreach initiatives and cultural activities. Moreover, students live in the historic center of Florence so they can enter into direct contact with the local community, thus encouraging and aiding language immersion and acquisition.

LdM was awarded the Languagecourse.net “Excellence Award” in 2008 , 2009, 2010 and 2011 based on customer satisfaction and outstanding service.
