Campus Life in Florence

Students can live in residential housing near the LdM headquarters—and soak in the vibrant San Lorenzo neighborhood—or they can live off campus in one of the city's five districts. All students at LdM live under the guidance and direction of experienced Student Advisors. Small enough to walk almost everywhere, at any given time Florence sidewalks and piazzas fill with students on their way to class or hanging out and having a chat.

Students at LdM Florence are in the unique position to experience Italian culture and life while immersed in a vibrant city setting. With its world-famous artistic heritage, Florence offers the study abroad student a myriad of cultural events throughout the year. Students eat their way through the city, known worldwide for its exceptional cuisine, characteristic restaurants, and ice cream parlors. What's more, Florence's thriving economic heart focuses largely on the exciting worlds of fashion, design, luxury goods, banking and tourism.

Here, students have access to the LdM's greatest resource: the city of Florence itself. LdM students have the opportunity to intern for Italy’s best museums, cultural and archeological associations and world renowned fashion houses, networking with some of the most important people in the city, the country and the world.
